Global
professional services firm Accenture last year had a significant increase in
U.S.-booked air travel as the company moved closer to pre-pandemic travel
patterns. The firm racked up $113 million in U.S.-booked air volume in 2023.
That’s up 79 percent from the prior year, when it logged $63 million.
Accenture
expects a full return to office in 2024, and air spend could increase to $158
million in fiscal year 2024.
Accenture
has introduced a new travel tool that acts as a single point of entry for
travel needs. It focuses on data-led insights, especially in the context of
carbon budgets and sustainability goals.
The
company continues to push carbon emissions data to travelers to support their
sustainability education and decision making at the point of sale. Accenture
also offers employees an aviation carbon calculator that presents emission
differences between flights during the booking process.
For
fiscal year 2023, Accenture reported $64 billion in revenue, up 4 percent from
2022. The company reported more than 750,000 employees as of Aug. 31, 2023, up
4 percent from the year-earlier period.
