2023 U.S.-Booked Air Volume: $48 million
Consolidated Global Booking Tool: Sabre GetThere
Consolidated Global TMC: CWT
Enterprise software and tech company Oracle in 2023 spent about $48 million on U.S.-booked air travel, according to a BTN estimate, up from 2022 levels.
Oracle in 2023 worked with GetThere, CWT and a number of airlines, specifically American Airlines to enable, test and drive improvement across a legacy ecosystem for New Distribution Capability. The company in the first half of 2024 put 5 percent of its
air volume through NDC channels, with an estimated savings of $500,000, a move that also encouraged travelers to stay within the program.
The company has worked to reduce emissions in recent years by encouraging remote conferencing, limiting air travel and installing electric vehicle charging stations at company facilities. It has a goal to reduce employee air travel emissions by 25 percent
by 2025. Oracle's business travel in 2022, the most recent data available, generated about 70,900 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent, up from 23,300 in 2021.
Oracle for the 12 months ending May 31, 2024, reported nearly $53 billion in revenue, up 6 percent year over year. The company this year signaled plans to move its headquarters to Nashville, Tenn., without an announced timeline.
