BTN estimates technology and entertainment giant Sony Corporation of America booked $60 million in 2023 U.S. air travel in 2023.

SONAM is the U.S. headquarters of Tokyo’s Sony Group Corporation. Divisions under SONAM include Sony Electronics, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Sony Music Entertainment, Sony Music Publishing, and Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC, among others. SPE, based in Culver City, CA, is the entity that sources and negotiates business travel on behalf of SONAM.

Sony Group’s business travel in its 2023 fiscal year produced about 58,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions, up from about 40,000 the fiscal year prior.

Consolidated sales and financial services revenue for Sony Group in FY2023 totaled $91.4 billion, up 19 percent year over year. Its U.S. divisions generated approximately $26 billion in revenue. Sony Group at the end of March 2024 had 16,000 employees across the U.S., among 113,000 worldwide.
