BTN estimates that industrial conglomerate Textron had U.S.-based air spend in 2023 of $30 million. The company's product lines include Beechcraft and Cessna aircraft, and, under its Bell division, helicopters used by the U.S. government and non-U.S. military customers.
The company reported 2023 revenue of nearly $13.7 billion, up about 6.3 percent year over year. Net income was $922 million, up from $862 million in 2022.
As of Dec. 30, 2023, Textron employed about 35,000 individuals—a 1,000-person increase from 2022—with approximately 80 percent located in the United States. The company in 2023 reported Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions, but did not share Scope 3 data, which includes business travel.
