Air India is making its New Distribution Capability content available through air distribution technology provider Verteil's direct-connect platform, Verteil announced.
With their partnership, agents will be able to access Air India's NDC content, including ancillaries and special offers, and book tailored flight packages, according to Verteil, which reports more than 50 global airline partnerships. Verteil provides NDC content to agencies both via an API and a B-to-B portal.
The aim is to provide "more choices and an enriched shopping experience for travelers in India and across the globe while flying Air India," Verteil Technologies founder and CEO Jerrin Jos said in a statement. "Verteil will work hand-in-hand with Air India to ensure that Air India has the most sophisticated and advanced retailing platform in the world."
In addition, Travelport on Wednesday announced it was "accelerating" its launch of NDC content and servicing for Air India. Agents using Travelport Plus will be able to see and compare Air India NDC offers alongside non-NDC content sometime in the fourth quarter, according to Travelport.
